Marvel dominates the Top 100 variant comics list. There are several DC, but only a few, mostly featuring the Caped Crusader.

For those with short memories, The New 52 was a DC Comics reboot in 2011.

It was pretty popular for a while, driven by great stories and art and a bunch of variant comics for several key issues.

There are almost as many signed as Universal copies.

There are 310 Universal and 264 signed copies in the CGC census.

DC has since rebooted its universe at least twice, making New 52 titles stone cold.
