Most Valuable DC Comics Showcase Issues in 2025
A long-running series that launched the entire Silver Age of Comics, Showcase Presents was a classic of the era.
The series which relaunched The Flash and Green Lantern, Showcase Presents was one of the most important series DC ever publishedThe idea behind Showcase was to tryout new characters and concepts.
This certainly happened, though the series became truly groundbreaking with issue #4.
Superheroes had been in the doldrums since the late 1940s. This led to cancellation of many famous characters from the Golden Age of comics.
Everything changed with Showcase #4 in 1956, the relaunch of The Flash. A couple of years later, Green Lantern followed suit.
