Romita returns to produce this classic "remastered" variant cover comic.
Surprisingly, the dream team combination of Romita, Spidey and a very limited availability have not rescued this book from the pandemic implosion in prices.
It's dropped 87 percent since the peak of the market! That's comfortably in the top ten worst performers on the list.
While Romita is a genius, I don't personally love this cover, and the market is in agreement with me, it seems.
There are just 82 Universal and 18 signed copies in the CGC census.
Otto Octavius becomes Superior Octopus in this issue and Norman Osborn makes an appearance.
If you must own one, then be patient, get a CGC 9.8 and don't spend more than $700.
